Montgomery Street
This little fix-a-flat store on the lower east side of Manhattan caught my eye. As an artist I am intrigued by the way the light hits the tires and I enjoy the unintended abstract quality of the graffiti on the dumpster, that was contributed by the various local teenage “artists”. Here, a single traffic cone and a couple of hydraulic jacks occupy the workspace of the fix-a-flat place while the man who fixes the flats sits in the shade of a tree across the street.
